My youngest brother is training to be a pro athlete, so I knew if I sent him a dozen triple chocolate cake pops he probably wouldn’t eat them. However, I really wanted to send him and his buddies a batch of my cake pops because I need as many opinions on my recipes that I can get. I brainstormed a little and then thought of making him Protein Cake Pops! I mean why not?! I have seen protein brownies and protein cookies, so I figured I would give it a try. I took triple chocolate chuck cake batter , omitted a cup of the cake batter and replaced it with a cup of cookies and cream whey protein. Followed the rest of the cake batter instructions, used chocolate frosting , chocolate icing and peanut butter chips for the outside. I chose peanut butter chips because peanut butter has a lot of protein! After the cake pops were complete they came out to 7 grams of protein per cake pop! I think that’s pretty good amount of protein considering the size of the cake pop. What a great gift idea for people who like to eat a little bit healthier
My brother said they were a big hit with him and the boys!!! Here is a photo of what they looked like, inside and out

What a great idea – I made cake pops recently but not this healthy version, thanks for this inspiration!
